ECI Turns 30 in 2011! Electrical Contractors Inc.'s team turns thirty this year! Though we've grown far beyond the small, industrial contractor we once were to a full-support electrical team with unique electrical contracting, engineering, localized GC and pipe insulation divisions, the heart and vision of how we service our customers and friends remains the same. Thank you for your support.

ECI Remains Entrenched in "Hardcore Green" Projects throughout 2010 - 2011. Our team has noted an ever-increasing forward trend in the sustainable design movement, where not only our commercial clientele but now also our industrial and agriculture markets emphasize more earth-friendly design practices. A Sample of our recent "hardcore green" work involves:
  • An Expansive VFD Project for a US Top Five Oil Producer - Varied locations throughout the West.
  • Muddy Creek Water Quality Improvement Project - including solar, automation, battery, generators, unique systems.
  • Agricultural Water Reuse Project, Utah - Reuse of captured water from local gas wells which would otherwise be wasted. Purified water is then utilized to assist local growers and producers.
Value Still Dominates in our Struggling Economy. ECI didn't win the original "low bid" for the electrical installation of the Carbon County Senior Citizens Center. However, our team was eventually called in by the GC and bonding company to repair the existing work in 2010 and finalize the project to our standards. And, this isn't the first time. We also repaired a new and intricate installation for a regional mining operator last year whom had contracted THREE other teams before working with ECI to find effective solutions - among other projects.

It seems that during the recent economic downturn ultra-low bids are running rampant ... but most often at the expense of "total value", quality and forethought. We prefer to ride out the storm, rather than sacrifice integrity: ECI's team remains constant, maintaining our caliber of talent and craftsmanship at a competitive price. We may not be the lowest bid at opening, but we'll certainly be your best total value.

ECI was named "Contractor of the Year" in 2010 by one of the top five largest private sector energy corporations in the world. The COY award is open to all types of contractors and recognizes ECI's outstanding safety record on their facility projects, as well our commitment to grounded innovation, performance and reliability.

ECI has received a letter of intent for a Large-Scale End Device Project for High End Oil Industry Client. In January 2010, our Team was again named as the Electrical Contractor for an expansive end device / pump off project from one of the nation’s largest oil industry clients. (The client prefers to not have their name specified.) As the award evaluation process was highly competitive and largely QUALIFICATIONS BASED, ECI is proud to continue our relationship with this outstanding corporation. Work should begin April/May 2010.

Multiple Substation Maintenance Contract for Price City, 2009. Electrical Contractors Inc. was recently awarded the contract to maintain multiple substations for the City of Price, Utah, covering all aspects of emergency, non-emergency and scheduled maintenance, as well as monitoring, with a regular reporting structure.

ECI Hires New Office Manager, 2009. Derald Riche is the newest member of ECI’s Administrative Team. Derald has earned his Bachelors of Science in Business Management (with an emphasis in Finance) and oversees all accounts payable, accounts receivables and administrative human resources issues. He is supported by a front-end team who are skilled within their positions and adept at creating a pleasant atmosphere for our clients and team professionals.

Expertise in the US Intermountain Region. ECI has specifically targeted the Intermountain Region of the Western United States as its project base, with the capability to service projects throughout the West and Midwest. Recent Projects Finalized with Conoco Phillips. With a focus upon energy conservation, Electrical Contractors Inc. finalized two large projects with Conoco Phillips this Fall (2009). The VFD portion itself includes $600,000+ and resulted in considerable savings; the compressor rewiring construction costs included more than $450k.

Solar Facility in Pre-Construction. ECI began preliminary work on a new 40 Acre Solar Farm Facility located near Green River. ECI’s team is working with designers and owners to make the project more economically feasible and will begin construction in the near future. (Update: The project has been put on temporary hold with expectations to begin again soon.)

ECI Builds New Offices! Located within the same complex off of Highway 10, ECI’s Administrative Offices have moved to a new building with an updated appeal. You can find our team at the South East corner of the property at 145 East 1760 South, Price, Utah. Our mailing address remains PO Box 606, Price, Utah 84501.
